Florals. Day 9.

Day Nine
IMG_0060
I guess I could have done something a bit more inspired for Everybody Everywear Florals today, but it's supposed to be a muggy 90 degrees in St. Louis today and the thought of layering this dress with a cardigan or jacket sounded miserable. Instead, I focused my creative energy on taking a picture outside, crossing my fingers that my brand new camera didn't fall off the deck railing and hoping Maverick didn't jump on me... which he did. Twice. Thank goodness his paws were just wet and not muddy.

dress by Tucker for Target. flats from Target. locket (that you can barely see) gifted.

I own this dress, and have to say it is lovely seeing it done so simply and well.

that new camera takes pretty good pictures! i like this outfit. yeah, hopefully it doesn't get too warm today because i'm rocking spaghetti straps (not the most work appropriate...)

yeah, I tried so hard to think of something 'special' to do since it was an EBEW day, but this just worked perfect. Almost nude flats, a simple necklace.... it doesn't distract from the dress.

And I sort of feel like I'm in my nightgown today. Soooo comfortable!

i own this dress and have yet to wear it. after seeing you in it (so cute), i have decided i need to pull it out and wear it!

yes! wear it! I was actually skeptical... not sure why I bought it if I was still on the fence, but whatever.

I see other bloggers layering with it (Kendi wore it yesterday with a striped cardi actually!), but I just don't think that's my thing. I think I'll wear it again with my green jacket and then another time as a shirt with white skinny jeans.... but honestly, I like keeping it simple with this dress.

Yay, I love seeing this dress on other blogs. I added your picture to my post of How We All Wore the Tucker for Target Dress.

This dress is so perfect. I wish I hadn't passed on it...
It's close to 90 degrees in Chicago here today, too. And humid. Blech.

what happened to spring in the Midwest? We went from like 40 to 90 in a week!

I love the print on this dress! Lovely. 99 degrees already?! omg!

well not yet.... I'm not even sure IF it hit 90 today or was just predicted. I've got my AC on full blast just in case though!

you know, i think there's something to be said for simplicity. you look fresh, comfortable, and confident in this. i think sometimes a garment's inherent design is "style" enough. a lovely look.

We're twinsies! Along with everyone else. ;) But seriously, it's just such a gorgeous dress. I love the simplicity here.

We should tally how many times this dress shows up in the EBEW this month! I love the dress 'cause I haven't seen a lady it doesn't suit and you are no exception. I hope you survive the heat!

I love this dress and would have never guessed it is from Target. It looks so high end! I'm gonna have to scoot my butt over there tomorrow and see if they have it! I love the color and how light and airy it seems. You look great!
