Just picked up this navy polkadot shirtdress from Target for a wedding shower and/or Easter this weekend, but can't figure out how to style it without looking total country club.
I had planned on nude espadrille wedges, a mustard yellow skinny belt and white cardigan... but it feels so dowdy/preppy/obvious.
Any ideas?

I have that dress! I wore it just the other day with grey tights, brown leather boots, and a camel colored cardigan (and a slip because it was a little clingy). I didn't belt it, but I do like it with a belt.
I also tried it with a emerald green cardigan and it looked really cute. Grey, yellow, red, and maroon also work.
I'm a big fan of the classic preppy look, so I'm also planning on wearing it when it warms up with red flats. I will say, though, that's it's a fairly preppy dress - I mean, it's navy polka dots and it has a collar. Just embrace it!
