Mantras to Live By (Part 1)

If you don't like cats, you've probably never had one.
If you don't like Twitter (or Foursquare or Facebook), you probably just aren't using it right.
If you can't appreciate/tolerate my favorite music (or bars or movies or food), then why should I have to appreciate/tolerate yours? (Note: I will still appreicate/tolerate your favorite things anyway because I'm nice and open-minded like that.)
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. (Okay, that one is from Thumper....)

I've got a BIG couple of days coming up... and no, it is not because I am going to see Titanic at the Muny or having a big party at work or am heading to an art gallery in Soulard or eating ice cream with a bunch of Yelpers... (what? my social calendar doesn't interest you?)..... my BIG news is that the MTV TJ contest is about to get kicked into high gear!

Tomorrow is the big day. The final two candidates will be announced, I'll find out about my first challenge (which I have just 48 hours to complete! yikes.), and voting starts on Facebook.

That's right, I said voting. 

Here's how it works. Everyone on Facebook gets one vote. All you have to do is go 'like' Zync from American Express, check out the MTV TJ tab, and vote for me! Easy parcheesi (and yes, I googled that word to figure out how to spell it...).

Summer in the City

Maybe it's the weather or maybe it's the three-day weekend, but I'm really loving the idea of enjoying the great city of St. Louis this weekend. On my (proposed) agenda:

• Brunch somewhere yummy like Mud House, Rooster, or Benton Park Cafe
• Shopping at the Tower Grove Farmers Market
• A picnic lunch at City Garden
• Wine in the grass at Forest Park
• An AB Brewery tour
• A BBQ in Soulard
• Fireworks under the arch

What else should I do?

Oh yeah, and I shot this little video while eating lunch at City Garden today. It isn't anything special, and horrible quality (come on, I don't have an iPhone 4 or anything!), but I couldn't resist. I seriously love that City Garden and downtown STL.
