I felt a little like Goldilocks in my journey to find this jacket. One was too expensive. One was too heavy. One was too military (are all those cargo pockets really necessary?). And then Ann Taylor came along with this one and it was just right.

Gray Days. Day 2.

Day Two

My outfit does not match the weather today.... because it is finally sunny! It feels like it has been raining in St. Louis for a month, but today it is bright and sunny and there are blue skies all around! Rejoice. And go outside.

The Script

She's all laid up in bed with a broken heart

While I'm drinking jack all alone in my local bar

And we don't know how we got into this mad situation

Only doing things out of frustration

Trying to make it work but man these times are hard

But we're gonna start by drinking old cheap bottles of wine

Sit talking up all night

Saying things we haven't for a while

The Beginning. Day 1.

Day One

Today kicks off Day 1 of my spring 30x30 challenge. I wanted to come up with some great post today but my mind is filled with Superhero nonsense, so this bulleted list of random thoughts will have to do. 

• It's cold in St. Louis and I'm regretting all those warm weather options I put into my mix. Even my ankles are chilly today. 
• I'm not at all organized this time around. Some of my clothes aren't even out of the dirty clothes hamper yet!
• My camera broke. So cell phone pis will have to do for now. Sorry. 
• I went on a mini shopping spree in Branson this weekend (what? There is no 'no shopping' rule before the 30 starts!) and came home with this shirt, a seersucker skirt, a purple cardigan, a green jacket, a romper for the summer, a new scarf, a pretty necklace and a new pair of sunglasses. Whew.

Call of the Wild

I want this Threadless tank (even though it is for boys). Mainly because I think it looks like my Maverick.

Well Suited

I like blazers. Especially this one. I bought it (and the matching pants) back in my job hunting days, but it hasn't been paired with dress pants or a skirt since then. I like it much better with jeans. Plus, it is super comfortable and feels like I'm wearing a soft hoodie or something. What a trick, eh?
